End Of Life Counseling
Palliative, Hospice, and Death with Dignity Counseling
One of the high points in the arc of my career was the introduction of Living Wills, Advance Directives, and the social movement to give people choices about how to manage life threatening and life limiting illnesses and and traumas.
I helped organize and became chairperson of two ethics committees, one in a hospital and another in a community hospice organization over twenty years ago.
In my new practice, this aspect has a technical component regarding the documents, (their intentions and how they need to be designed and implemented for people's use) and a counseling dimension about people’s wishes and hopes and expectations for how their health care will be delivered.
In person office visits and virtual tele-health meetings are available.
